Rob and Michele Reiner's death certificates detail final moments
As the investigation into filmmaker Rob Reiner and wife Michele Singer Reiner's suspected homicides continues, their finalized death certificates offer some insight into Los Angeles County authorities' findings.
According to death certificate copies obtained by USA TODAY on Dec. 23, Reiner, 78, was determined to be dead by first responders at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, while Singer Reiner, 70, was found deceased at 3:46 p.m.
Their son, Jake, was named as the informant of their deaths. The couple was cremated on Dec. 19. As revealed in the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's preliminary findings, both Reiner and his wife were determined to have died from "multiple sharp force injuries" in a suspected homicide. Both underwent autopsies.
Though the county's deputy coroner reported that both Reiner and Singer Reiner died within minutes of suffering injuries from a knife, the date and time that they'd incurred the fatal injuries in their home are listed as "unknown."
