Barry Manilow is rescheduling several tour dates on his upcoming Last Concerts farewell tour.

The "Copacabana" singer said that he made the adjustment after a "depressing visit" with his surgeon.

Manilow previously rescheduled tour dates after discovering he had lung cancer in December.

Barry Manilow is still on the mend.

The "Copacabana" singer, who rescheduled multiple concerts after announcing his lung cancer diagnosis in December, said that he's still not healthy enough to proceed with his farewell tour just yet.

"Just got home from visiting the surgeon. Very depressing visit," Manilow, 82, wrote in a statement posted to Instagram on Friday. "I told him that I have been using the treadmill three times a day (I have) but that I still couldn't sing more than three songs in a row before I had to stop. But I was sure that I would be able to do the Arena shows in a few weeks."

Manilow said that the surgeon rejected the singer's proposed timeline.

"He said, 'Barry, you won't be ready to do a 90 minute show,'" he revealed. "'Your lungs aren't ready yet. You're in great shape considering what you've been through, but your body isn't ready. You shouldn't do the first Arena shows. You won't make it through.'"

The singer said that he expected the bad news on some level.

"I had a feeling he'd say that," he wrote. "Deep down, I wanted to go back — but my body knew what my heart didn't want to admit: I wasn't ready."

As a result, Manilow is rescheduling a string of arena concerts that were slated to take place between Feb. 27 and March 17. That leg of the his Last Concerts tour — which was set to hit cities like Tampa, Fla., and Columbus, Ohio — was originally scheduled to take place in January, but Manilow delayed those shows after revealing that doctors discovered a "cancerous spot" on his left lung that required surgery.

Manilow said that his doctor believes he can "likely" still perform his shows at the Westgate in Las Vegas from March 26-28 (which were originally set for mid-February, but were rescheduled as the singer continued to recover). He also said that he still intends to perform the "second batch" of tour dates beginning with a concert in Belmont Park, N.Y., on April 13.

"I'm SO, SO sorry I have to reschedule some of these first Arena shows. Again!" he wrote. "But when I do come back, I will COME BACK!!! In the meantime, and once again, thank you all for your wonderful notes and phone calls of support. The doctor said that my body had been through hell and that it needed time to heal. So, I'm going back to healing."

New dates for Manilow's rescheduled shows have yet to be announced.
