Anne Hathaway has been just about everywhere the past few weeks. After landing back in the States from The Devil Wears Prada 2 Asia press tour, where she traveled from Seoul to Shanghai to promote the forthcoming sequel, the actor has floated from screening to late show appearance. She is, after all, promoting not one, but two films—with Mother Mary’s recent release and TDWP2 out on May 1.
For her most recent red carpet, however, Hathaway turned the event into a date night. Attending the 2026 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Santa Monica, she was joined by her husband, the actor, producer, and jewelry designer Adam Shulman.

The two were all smiles as they stopped for photos, indulging in some light PDA with a kiss on the cheek and posing in coordinating looks. The black ensembles showcased a rare matching couple’s dressing moment from the pair, who pulled off an effortlessly intentional feel.

For Hathaway, that meant a long black gown, draped with a loose-fitting silhouette that was, at once, both classic and contemporary. A one-shoulder cape sleeve floated across the bodice and down the opposite leg, creating a ruffle accent that provided a bit of natural movement. Her black sandals, with their high heels and platform bases, peeked out from a side leg slit. The actor and stylist Erin Walsh accessorized with diamond pieces from Bulgari’s Serpenti collection—studs, a bracelet, and a ring—as well as a black velvet clutch from the same house, pulled from its Tubogas line.
